Kimon Sargeant is responsible for developing new research initiatives that apply the tools ofanthropology, sociology, political science, and other disciplines to moral and spiritual concepts such asgenerosity, purpose, gratitude and forgiveness. Prior to joining the Foundation, Dr. Sargeant was directorfor research and programs in the human sciences at the Metanexus Institute. Dr. Sargeant also served asa program officer at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where he was responsible for a $20 million portfolio inthe area of religion and public life. Dr. Sargeant received his B.A. in history from Yale University and his doctorate in sociology from theUniversity of Virginia. He is the author of Seeker Churches: Promoting Traditional Religion in aNontraditional Way (2000).
