Kara Keating Copeland
The Cleveland Foundation
Kara Keating Copeland has served as a program officer at the Cleveland Foundation since May of 2010, where she manages a portfolio of more than $4 million for more than 40 grantees. In this role, she reviews proposals from organizations across the nonprofit sector as a member of the community responsive grantmaking team with particular emphasis on health and human service organizations; including many organizations serving Cleveland’s aging population. Kara is also responsible for the Cleveland Foundation’s Encore Cleveland Strategy which strives to channel the time, energy and talents of experienced Clevelanders into solving community challenges and filling unmet needs. Before joining the Foundation, Kara served as director of resource development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland. Kara began her career as a Jesuit Volunteer in Fresno, California.
